More construction on the new utilidor to West Ridge is scheduled to begin on Thursday, May 17. The Nenana Parking Lot (across from Patty Center) will be officially closed. The Office of Information Technology has scheduled a planned outage May 20 to conduct the annual fire alarm safety test. The 12-hour exercise takes most technology services offline while fire systems are tested, including the UAF website, access to UAOnline and other systems. A number of construction projects planned on campus this summer will affect roads, parking and pedestrian access to buildings. While this season will be an inconvenience, these critical deferred maintenance projects will be addressed. The recycle dumpsters, which currently sit in the Nenana parking lot across the road from the Student Rec Center, will be relocated to the Taku parking lot on Friday, April 13. The sledding hill on the Fairbanks campus is closed for the season.
